How does the NWSC interface with the NSBC?  Are they the same?

    NWSC and NSBC have similar goals; however, the NWSC is concerned with all water safety whether while boating or not.  NWSC partners with the NSBC to educated and promote boating and water safety and produce the International Boating and Water Safety Summit to provide training and professional learning experiences.

Is NWSC a profit motivated organization?

    No, in fact, membership in the NWSC may be tax deductible.  All funding for the NWSC comes from memberships, donations and United States Coast Guard grants.

Do you provide funding in support of water safety efforts?

    Yes, we do fund projects and other organizations through our Local Water Safety Council Grass Roots grants programs.

Do you ever provide training at other than the annual International Boating and Water Safety Summit?

    Yes, we do when we can.  An organization must request the training, specifying audience, etc., assign a responsible party for class materials, and provide per diem and travel for a Congress instructor.
